Allardyce secretly filmed advising 'businessmen' how to get around FA rules.... Sacked
Exclusive Telegraph investigation;

"Sam Allardyce used his position as England manager to negotiate a £400,000 deal and offered advice to businessmen on how to “get around” FA rules on player transfers, The Telegraph can disclose.

Before he had even held his first training session as England’s new head coach, Allardyce negotiated a deal with men purporting to represent a Far East firm that was hoping to profit from the Premier League’s billion-pound transfer market.

He agreed to travel to Singapore and Hong Kong as an ambassador and explained to the “businessmen” how they could circumvent Football Association rules which prohibit third parties “owning” players.

Unbeknown to Allardyce, the businessmen were undercover reporters and he was being filmed as part of a 10-month Telegraph investigation that separately unearthed widespread evidence of bribery and corruption in British football.

Over the course of two meetings, lasting four hours in total, Allardyce told the fictitious businessmen that it was “not a problem” to bypass the rules introduced by his employers in 2008.

He said he knew of certain agents who were “doing it all the time” and added: “You can still get around it. I mean obviously the big money’s here.”

During Allardyce’s meetings with the reporters he also:

Criticised his predecessor Roy Hodgson, dubbing him “Woy” and saying that he “hasn’t got the personality” for public speaking;

Said England’s players were underperforming because they had a “psychological barrier” and “can’t cope”;
Suggested that players who were not being played for their club should not be picked for England;
Described the FA decision to redevelop Wembley as “stupid”.

The issue of “third party ownership” in football has been described as “slavery”. It effectively allows companies to own a stake in a footballer. The FA led the way by banning the practice in 2008 and football’s world governing body, Fifa, followed in 2015.

Allardyce, 61, told his prospective employers it was “not a problem” to dodge the “ridiculous” rules.

Hardly worth running that story about Redknapp really.

Although....

It confirms he is friends with this Pino guy who said there was 8 dodgy managers or whatever. He's definitely one of them.

Apparently Redknapp had an agreement that he'd share 5 - 10% of transfers sales at Portsmouth too? Why would anyone allow that?

If the FA want Redknapp they would do well to get hold of the books of Billericay Town FC from a few years back...

Redknapp is talking about a last game of the season where they had nothing to play for

In the 2010/11 season Spurs were in 5th place and couldn't get any higher before playing Birmingham who were fighting relegation at WHL on the last day
Spurs played a full strength side and relegated Birmingham with a 93rd min winner

Do any of his West Ham seasons have a similar last day win?

Harry is far too slippery to get done, not enough to bring serious charges against the biggest crook around.

This Redknapp 'players betting scandal' was when he was at West Ham wasn't it? Can't we get Terry Brown to make a statement? He must have heard the rumour.

Nothing will stick to redknapp

He can talk his way out of the betting thing as he heard about it after the event and would just get a slap on the wrist for not telling the FA.

With regards to investing money in the Far East company to buy players. Why not? He is retired, it's his money and 3rd party ownership is only banned in uk and Scotland and there is nothing to say his investment wouldn't be for players based in other countries.

He is Teflon ....unless Allardyce cuts a deal when charged

It's all talk, Redknapp's having a free lunch and the talk is cheap. Quite like the idea of putting out your best team when everyone is expecting an end of season kick about and then lumping on.

With respect, that's utter rubbish whether it's from you or Kelvin McKenzie. Sports journos may have 'known' about it but you need evidence to accuse someone and write about it. The Telegraph investigations unit have the resources (and kit) to undertake that kind of operation. Constructing a piece on Harry - or whoever - being a spiv is not only a different department to the one sport journos work in, it's fraught with legal problems which only an investigations unit could satisfy/circumvent.

You're right about Custis (both of them) being a cunt though, I'll give you that.
